Brian's musical ability was unsurpassed, as he could play more than 17 instruments. While teaching himself how to play the sitar, Brian practiced so much that his fingers began to bleed. Some instruments he played were the guitar, sitar, dulcimer, marimba, harpsicord, and flute. His progression as a musician is evident in the evolution of the stones albums from 1964-1967.
